Diverse Abilities Awareness

Peers make the most impact on the success of a child in the general education setting. It is so important that peers are aware of the challenges that students with diverse abilities face. We believe an effective way to accomplish this is through awareness activities.

Diverse Abilities Day is an immersive experience for students to "walk in another's shoes" and experience what it is like to have a variety of challenges. Students rotate through stations such as Down Syndrome, Autism, ADHD, Vision Impairment, Diabetes, Limb Differences and many more.

We are looking for volunteers to help us Thursday, April 11th with our "Diverse Abilities Day". Please sign up to help with one of our morning or afternoon sessions. You'll be helping us create a more inclusive campus and community! Link to signup: https://tinyurl.com/yrku6jxp
